PowerBead™ Permatex's new patented single piston and trigger combination is now available on many of its most popular silicone products. Permatex's new PowerBead is the first aerosol can dispense system designed using vertical actuation. This feature maximizes product flow and eliminates clogging or hardening of silicone in the can and nozzle, when used as directed. PowerBead's trigger and twist nozzle also allow the user to select the flow rate of the product in two ways. The user can either create a "hard stop" point, regulated by the twist of the nozzle, or simply open the valve fully and vary product flow by the amount of finger pressure applied to the trigger itself. Either way, the result is unparalleled bead consistency.

It only makes sense that we now add the absolute finest application system to selected key items. PowerBead™, unlike traditional tilt valve technology, is actuated vertically; this allows the valve to open evenly all around, removing uneven product flow and stress on the valve, virtually eliminating the possibility of clogs. The patented PowerBead™ lever system is designed to push straight down on the nozzle, and it is this that is the key to its vertical actuation, making it dispense the product at such a consistent rate, a rate that, by a simple twist of the nozzle, is fully adjustable. Since the user has full control of the product's dispensing speed, it allows for greater flexibility to apply the desired bead. The PowerBead™ products will dispense a perfect 1/16-inch bead or 1/8 and 1/4 inch bead by simply cutting the nozzle at the pre-scored markers.
The PowerBead™ trigger's elegantly simple design adds to the ease and comfort of use. Further adding to its dispensing comfort, PowerBead's patented trigger assembly is fitted with an ergonomic rubberized vinyl grip, emblazoned with the Permatex brand name, reminding the end-user, dealer, or distributor that they have indeed chosen the industry leader, Permatex. This attention to detail will dramatically reduce the finger fatigue often associated with heavy and consistent use of this type of product. He continued by observing "The snap-off neck design is a thing of beauty and, ultimately, will allow reuse of the PowerBead triggers on additional pressure-dispensed products".
