Hartford, CT… Permatex, a leading innovator in chemical technology for automotive maintenance and repair, has announced key promotions and organizational changes for the Permatex Marketing Group. Diane (Nesprido) Phelan has been named Director of Product Management and Key Account Sales. Marsha Whitehead has been promoted to Marketing Manager, and Andrew Charleston has been named Senior Product Manager. All three managers are current Permatex employees. The announcement was made by Andy Robinson, General Manager, ITW Permatex, who noted that the personnel assignments were effective 1/1/11.
Diane (Nesprido) Phelan will assume full sales responsibility for the Lowe's and Home Depot accounts and continue in her current role as Director of Product Management. Diane Phelan has been with Permatex since 2003, and in addition to product management duties, has been responsible for the product management and marketing departments, overall marketing communications, and new product introductions. She also served as the International Market Manager for Permatex International. Prior to joining Permatex, Diane Phelan worked for News America Marketing, where she held several marketing postions. She holds a BS from University of Connecticut and is currently working on her MBA at University of Hartford.
As Permatex's new marketing manager, Marsha Whitehead will be responsible for the Marketing Department which includes; Marketing Communications, Creative Services, Marketing Services, Advertising, Public Relations and Promotional Programs in addition to her current Market Management, Retail Category Management and Marketing Strategy roles. Marsha Whitehead joined Permatex in November 2009, after a successful career as a vice president in sales and marketing with Mass Mutual Financial Group and Lego Systems, Inc. She holds a bachelors degree from State University of New York Albany and an MBA from the University of Hartford.
In addition to his current product management duties, Andrew Charleston will assist in managing the New Product Development process and be responsible for leading Product Line Planning, Cost Savings initiatives and Portfolio Analysis. Prior to joining Permatex in 2008, Andrew was successful across a variety of Marketing roles at with James River Corporation, Pitney Bowes, and Playtex Products. Andrew holds a BA degree from Kettering University and an MBA from the University of California-Berkeley.
