Hartford, CT… The marketing team at Permatex, a leader in innovative chemical technology for automotive maintenance and repair and appearance, has received several awards for design and PR excellence in 2010. The announcement was made by Lauren Mencarini, Creative Director at Permatex, who noted, "We are very excited to be award recipients in these two competitions and thrilled to see that our work has been recognized by both the creative community and the automotive aftermarket, nationwide."

The American Graphic Design Awards recognized Permatex with "certificates of excellence" for print advertising in support of its Permatex® Gasket Remover, PermaSorb Spill Absorbent and Waterless Hand Cleaners. "Certificates of excellence" honors for packaging were also bestowed on Pematex® Wiper Restore™, Pematex® Liquid Electrical Tape, Spray Nine® Outdoor Window Wash, and Permatex® Black Nitrile Disposable Gloves. Permatex also garnered a "Best Business-to-Consumer PR Effort" award from the Automotive Communications Council for the video news release (VNR) it developed to launch its new "permatexrepair.com" website.

The American Graphic Design Awards competition is in its 31st year. Sponsored by Graphic Design USA Magazine, it is considered to be among the most selective competitions of its kind. Each year, the awards committee receives thousands of entries, nationwide.

The ACA Awards are sponsored, annually, by the Car Care Council Women's Board (dedicated to informing and educating female audiences about car care) and the Automotive Communication Council (national, non-profit organization comprised of marketing professionals in the automotive business).
