Hartford, CT…Permatex, an innovative leader in chemical technology for automotive maintenance and repair, continues its long running support of the Follow A Dream Race Team with a corporate sponsorship for the team in the 2010 NHRA Championship Top Alcohol Funny Car Series. Permatex has partnered with Jay Blake and his successful Follow A Dream Race Team since 2004.

This year Follow A Dream will challenge the NHRA series with its Permatex/Wynn’s/Follow A Dream 2008 Chevrolet Impala SS Top Alcohol Funny Car and driver, Todd Veney, an experienced and successful NHRA racer and motorsports journalist. The team will compete coast to coast, from Englishtown to Pomona, in a grueling, 11-race schedule that includes seven national races and a full slate of Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events. The program kicks off at Gainesville Raceway (Gainesville, FL) on March 12, 2010.

About Todd Veney
Todd Veney is a seasoned NHRA driver who piloted Follow A Dream’s first racecar before pursuing his own lifelong dream of fielding a team with his dad, legendary racer, Ken Veney, in 2004. Veney has been driving since 1995 and grew up in drag racing, working on his dad's cars as a kid and writing for NHRA's National Dragster from 1988 to 2007. "It's great to be back with Jay, Tommy, and everybody," Veney said. "I've seen Jay's entire operation step up every year since he got into the sport, and this is going to be the fastest car I've ever raced and the best team I've ever been on."
