White smoke coming out of the exhaust normally means you are getting coolant/water into your combustion chamber. Normal causes are usually a blown head gasket, or a cracked cylinder head.

Oil leaks can happen for many different reasons. Some of the repairs may be as simple as tightening a bolt, or as difficult as replacing a component.
